Superious Suite was very spacious with all faclities including seperate shower & bath and seating sofa area. Breakfast was always excellent and of very high standard. Hotel didn't feel crowded at all. Receptionists were all the time very helpful, including retaining out baggage due to a late evening flight. Location is ideal as 10 or 15 mins both from the beach & city centre.

By far the best part was the lady who worked the front desk at check in. She was there a couple of other days too in the evenings. She was always very pleasant and sweet and offered to help in any way she could. She offered suggestions for restaurants and stores and even made sure my room got fixed after it was messed up when I checked in. She has been one of the best receptionists I've encountered in all my travels in Europe (over a dozen work and business trips). In the room, I liked the extra metal door on the outside balcony that kept both light and sound from getting in. Allowed me to not wake up when the streets were populated with celebrations and fireworks. I loved that the AC worked and was strong. I still had an extra fan, but that made it extremely comfortable for me.

We had a fantastic stay at Akali Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The hotel is beautifully maintained, with clean, modern rooms and a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax. The staff were absolutely amazing — incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always helpful with any questions or requests. Their warm hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable and really set the hotel apart. One of the absolute highlights was the breakfast — truly outstanding. The spread was generous and varied, with something to suit every taste. Freshly baked pastries, local cheeses, olives, seasonal fruits, eggs made to order, and rich, aromatic coffee — every item was high quality and delicious. It was the perfect way to start each day and a real standout of the stay. Overall, Akali Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I’ll definitely be back!

Hotel in good location. Nice breakfast restaurant. Our bedroom was a little on the small side but very adequate. Our son who also had a superior room had a bigger room. Bathroom well appointed although the shower was a bit narrow. The pool was good and kept spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending it for a stay close to both the beach and the old harbour. Good value.

Staff were very kind and friendly - from the catering team to the cleaners. Receptionists were also very helpful in recommending places to visit. Breakfast was very nice !

Location was perfect- close to Old town and close to beach. The bartender who became the waiter to dinner was very friendly and great customer service. Nice breakfast and beds comfortable. Good dinner.

Everything. I received a free room upgrade on arrival, it was clean, great breakfast choice. A lot of the other reviews mention the location being in a bad area - I did not think so. There are coffee shops, supermarkets all around and it is a 10 minute walk to the old town or the beach, I thought the location was great.

We had an amazing stay and the staff was incredible from the reception to the cleaning lady to the kitchen staf and the hotel manager. Wow!!! Really glad that people like you exist and make our vacations great. We felt taken care of by all the staff and how they helped us with our little girls was impresive. I will recomend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Chania. Best choice ever and congratulation to all of you. The breakfast was great with lot of options, the bed confortable, two type of pillows one soft and one semi hard, great water pressure in the shower, parking. It was excellet.

The staff are amazing and went out of their way to make our stay truly memorable. Such a welcoming experience The pool is great to lounge around every day and just chill there for hours. The attitude is just can do all the way. Super close to the port (5 minute walk) Housekeeping kept our room spotless, navigating around all our mess. I would definitely stay again. Thanks to the front desk staff just friendly and warm all the way. If you're staying more than a few nights book the poolside rooms as they are nicely quiet.
